I’m just not sure how to process all of this right now…
It’s the email spam stuff.
- Evidently my apps are sending out too many emails
- How is that defined?
- Not explained, or detailed out or anything
It’s not like anything I build out be outside of the allowed limits of the platform… rate limits and all.
What emails would am I sending out?
- Sign up requests
- Onboarding
- Meeting reminders/summaries
They asked for a screenshot of the emails that triggered this to happen…
- Check this out, how funny is this:
Someone signed up to be a supporter of mine, to gain access to all the AppSheet resources…
- That’s what triggered my ban.

I mean… it’s almost poetic. No?
I’ve spoken to support and they’ve escalated. Let’s see how long it takes to lift the ban now. (Or if they will!

I just ran through all the posts to see what the timeline for all of this looked like:
The response time for these mission critical emergencies still surprises me.

Huge thanks to @Adam-google and @Steve for raising awareness, and especially @ShirleyN for the swift attention!
Response time once you were affected, @MultiTech, which prompted me to notify @Adam-google. The problem itself was reported here in the community (and to Support, I believe) 12 days ago. Why did it take the involvement of two prominent community members to get a critical flaw like this addressed (@ShirleyN)? What was Support doing with it (@devingu)? Where was AppSheet’s official community rep (@Jose_Arteaga )? How did AppSheet operations not notice the scope of the impact? Why was nobody watching for adverse effects from such an obviously-risky change?

I able to access to my account now. But it take 5 days to process.
Really painful for the past 5 day, anyway now everything back to normal.
We have cut down the email usage now.
