Your homepage does not explain the purpose of your application

I am currently seeking assistance regarding the Google OAuth verification for my project, EasyNomics, (PII Removed by Staff). Despite submitting what I believe to be a comprehensive landing page, my application was flagged with the error stating that my homepage does not clearly explain the purpose of the application.

I am confused as to why the current descriptions are considered insufficient, as the site clearly outlines the app’s utility for students and provides background on the development team and student testimonials. Furthermore, while the Google Cloud Console indicates that I must “reply to the email thread” to proceed, I have not received any correspondence from the Trust and Safety team in my inbox or spam folder. I would like to know if Google requires a more technical or explicit declaration, specifically regarding how Google user data is used for authentication or data synchronization, rather than just a general functional description. If anyone has navigated a similar situation or knows how to reach the review team when no email has been received, I would greatly appreciate your insight on what specific phrasing might be missing from my homepage.

Hi @lightumcc Most likely your homepage does not clearly state what the app does and why Google Sign In is needed

Add a simple clear sentence explaining the purpose of the app and a separate section explaining how you use Google data for authentication and what data is accessed and how it is handled

Testimonials are not enough Google wants a direct purpose statement and data usage explanation

Also check that the OAuth support email in Cloud Console is correct since the review message is usually sent there
