Unable to launch GCP cloud shell

Hi Expert

I have started using GCP as of last month and quite recently i am experiencing issues with Cloud shell - does not seem to trigger a terminal. - with the error as “Cloud Shell is experiencing some issues provisioning a VM to you. Please try again in a few minutes.”. Have tried the below but all unsuccessful

  1. Confirming that my trial account is still active (not lapsed) and have money in my account
  2. Have tried using different machines and explorers; but same error persists
  3. Have tried triggering different VMs in various regions - no success

Any suggestions, support recommendations to resolve the matter will be appreciated

Hi @utariq_260

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

You can have some options on this:

  1. In the Cloud Shell Menu, you can select Restart and a pop-up dialog shall ask for confirmation on Restart Cloud Shell. After this, a new VM shall be provisioned for you to use.

  2. You can also do safe mode to login as root and check any problem in your .bashrc or .tmux.conf files, to see documentation click here.

  3. After doing safe mode, if necessary, you can also get a completely new cloud shell state by following this link.

For more information you can check this official documentation.

I hope this information is helpful.
