Reflecting on a Year of Growth: 2025 at the Arcade

By the end of the season, many participants incl. Me were left with a deeper sense of disappointment, especially when the utility of the swags failed to align with real-life, practical needs. Items such as Magnets/Badges, Sticker sheets, DIY Lego bricks, Unnecessary laptop sleeves, and USB hubs do not meaningfully serve everyone, nor do they justify the time, effort, and commitment invested throughout the season.

What hurt most was not merely the nature of the rewards, but the feeling that participant feedback was acknowledged in words yet overlooked in action. A more thoughtful and inclusive approach—one that genuinely considers diverse, real-world use cases—could have significantly improved the overall experience.

What added further frustration was the practice of revealing rewards gradually in later months. All rewards should be clearly disclosed at the very start of the season only. Mid-season or later swag drops create false anticipation and ultimately lead to confusion and disappointment among participants.

Recognition should reflect effort, and rewards should carry lasting value, not just symbolic presence! @Yugali @akshitj

Subject: Request for Manual Point Verification: Missed Subscription Form (75 Arcade Points Earned in 2025)
Message Body:
Hi Community Managers and Fellow Cloud Learners,
I am writing to respectfully request assistance regarding my eligibility for the 2025 Arcade Prize Counter.
Throughout the 2025 season, I actively participated in the program and earned a total of 75 Arcade Points, qualifying me for high-tier rewards. Unfortunately, due to an oversight, I missed the final subscription form deadline on December 28th, 2025.
I have already contacted Google Skills Support (4781322), but I was informed that because I missed the subscription form, my progress wasn’t tracked for that specific cohort. However, my achievements are clearly documented on my public profile, which I have maintained throughout the year.
My Details for Verification:
Google Cloud Skills Boost Email: (PII Removed by Staff)
Public Profile URL: https://www.skills.google/public_profiles/8acdd9a9-7c1c-4280-84fa-8de5028c62ff
Total Points Earned in 2025: 75 Points
I have already subscribed to the 2026 Arcade cohort to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Given the significant effort put into these labs and challenges, I kindly request a one-time manual review of my 2025 activity so that I might receive a redemption link for the upcoming Prize Counter.
Thank you for your time and for all the support you provide to the learner community!
Best regards,
Kushal
