It appears that the bottom navigation bar is missing on mobile, while functioning normally on desktop. Could this be a bug, and has anyone else faced the same issue?
Yes, Same
Yup, Same no navigations button
I fix this issue by going to Settings > General > New mobile framework (Preview) turn it “OFF” this is how to fix the bug issue
@Jose_Arteaga @lizlynch @Adam-google
Please Verify if an undocumented change occurred recently. I also remind others and confirm it’s preview, so not to be used for production apps.
Same here. Mass of compliants from users… App stops working for all Mobile users!!
I tried to make a change and save. Then it came back. But when I made that version the stable version, it dissapeard again…
Thanks. Worked:)
Same bug here - turned off the New mobile framework (Preview) - primary menu items along the bottom returned on both iOS and Android. Turned it back on and they both disappeared again. Interestingly, if you log out and back in again, it seems to restore the menu briefly until the app loses “focus” and then when it re-syncs it kicks the menu off again.
SAME BUG HERE
100% missing also in ALL our mobile apps
I alerted Support via normal ticket channel to please look at Community today ASAP and got this response.
Same here
Hello @Denzil_Snyman, Can you please provide the support ticket number for this issue. It will be easier to follow up and provide you with updates.
Thank you!
@Shourya_Tomar The response I got in the screenshot was same one as icons not loading. My Case ID is 3-3306000040563
I originally used this ticket to report but they then gave that response in screenshot above and continued to look at my app with the other issue of icons not loading
the “Page_header” in columns type “Show” doesen’t work too, when u click them nothing happens
@Bruno_Paes Thanks for reporting, can you confirm if this is still happening when you turn off New mobile Framework. It will help to know for others if related.
@Denzil_Snyman yep, is just in the new framework, when u turn off works normally
I’m also experiencing issues today across 3 different apps built on 3 different Google accounts.
In addition to the bottom navigation bar bug, I’m also seeing PNG images stored in Google Drive failing to load on desktop browsers (tested in private/incognito mode, so it’s not a cache issue). JPG images and external URLs load fine — only PNG files are affected.
After disabling the New Mobile Framework on the 2 apps where it was enabled, the bottom nav came back and PNG images are now displaying correctly on mobile. However, PNG images still fail to load on desktop browsers across all 3 apps, including the one where New Mobile Framework was already disabled before today.
This suggests the PNG/desktop issue is a separate regression introduced by today’s update, independent of the New Mobile Framework.
yes, the navigation bar of my app disappears, i turned OFF the mobile framework setting, it’s working fine, but the app is appearing like 10 year old.
is there is any hope that google patches this soon enough ??
Same bug here
