Good day, AppSheet Community!
During the upcoming Office Hours session, we will be utilizing the following form to efficiently collect your questions: Ask the Presenter Live.
We encourage you to register promptly to secure your attendance.
Hello @StephenHind,
You are correct! I will be opening the form during the session.
Note that when you register for the event, there is a section where you can submit your questions.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Just to let folks know, we ended up postponing the office hours to later in January due to some recent product planning updates and upcoming holiday schedules.
We will be sending details on the Updated Office Hours in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Note: The registration form is still active, so you may still sign up!
Best Regards,
-Chris
Would we need to sign up again or are the people who signed up first time still kept in records with questions, etc..
No need to sign up again!
Thanks!
Not able to join the live straem?
This suspection was expected, so no surprise.
If the plan is suspended and re-scheduled to the next year, the agenda should be re-planned completely.
As the platformer of AppSheet, it should deal with the “Road Map of 2026 for AppSheet new features”.
However, unfortunately, the expectation of bringing new useful new features to the appsheet is likely to happen, as it is obvious the Google is lost the interest to the AppSheet and invest the resorces to the others. We have a grave concers, the AppSheet used to be bringing the new solotions routinely. Looking back the year of 2025, there was no visible and remarkable features was added to this platform at all. It is possible this will be the same for 2026. If this is not a case nor a story, then you should host the next Office Hours to identify that my suspect is not a case.
Updates?
Apologies for the delay on the upcoming Office Hours!
Please know that we are working hard on our aggressive plans for 2026, and unfortunately some of the feature details can not yet be shared.
We aim to finalize the Office Hours details in the next few days and will share the details when ready!
Also, if you signed up last month, your original registration is still valid. No need to register again.
We are still targeting late January, so please stay tuned!
Cordially,
-Chris
I’m happy to hear that AppSheet has plans. In this era of AI, please don’t settle for mediocre, small features.
People are vibing with code and building things, and AppSheet could become obsolete. Please appoint a visionary leader to plan. There are so many missing features in AppSheet that are a hard no-go in any enterprise apps, especially UI and other features.
I’m one of the people who advocates against moving away from AppSheet, but as time goes on, I don’t have anything else to tell them to stay in AppSheet. I see the word “aggressive” and I hope it’s not just words. Lazy, slow releases will kill AppSheet. Try to do it in weeks, not months or yearly plans for a single feature. Please compress it to days and weeks.
Also, please focus on marketing and enhancing product visibility next year. I’ve noticed that AppSheet is currently dominating search results. However, when I ask GPT or Gemini, they rank other competitors and tools significantly higher, with scores of 9/10 or even higher, while AppSheet receives a score of 6/10. This disparity is likely due to the Google team’s slow response to public concerns. Perhaps you are not as slow and are actively working in the backend to improve the system.
Even the new UI is not entirely new to users; it’s quite outdated and unappealing. Additionally, the number of UI components in AppSheet is quite limited. I advise the team to conduct a reality check and reflect on their actions. Perhaps they should use a large mirror to examine themselves and avoid becoming overly focused on numbers that satisfy their team members. Reality is not as rosy as they may believe, as evidenced by the feedback from clients who have already moved away from AppSheet.
