Yep. The silence is insulting. @cschalk_ws @Jose_Arteaga

I’m eager to hear an update on this myself.

Recently, I have been getting frequent questions from customers regarding improvements and stability for AppSheet.

I don’t give negative answers, but I do mention Google’s silence in this thread.

I understand that everyone is busy preparing for Next. However, please understand that this community and many customers are paying close attention to the future direction of AppSheet.

I believe customers understand that progress is being made on the 2025 roadmap. However, they seem disappointed by the lack of progress on Gantt charts and multilingual support, as expectations were high.

To all who’ve expressed interest in our Office Hours and roadmap communications:

Please accept our sincere apologies for the pause in communicating these plans. This is due to our ongoing 2026 prioritization and planning efforts.

Stay tuned though as we will be providing a thorough update on our 2026 plans in March! If you have questions on specific features in the meantime, feel free to PM me directly!

Thank you for your patience,
-Chris

@cschalk_ws How do we directly PM you?

Your Discourse forum doesn’t allow us to do that. But you know that.

Your comment is giving us that the Google management team put less priority to AppSheet in general as AppSheet is now sadly less prioritized. The repeated delay to the office hours is good indication to see my suspicion is well founded. I personally expect you would delay this once again as AppSheet is no longer a product for you and your team to focus on, as there is no point for you to inject resources to AppSheet. The most of AppSheet community member would agree with me. If you have plan to shut down AppSheet , pleas me say so in the upcoming office hour. But the office hour session is likely not to happen as you will keep rescheduling forever.

No new news about AppSheet. No bugs are fixed for the last 6 months . No meaningful engagement from Googler to this community. Over all, all the community member get a feel the Google lost the interest in Appsheetbafter purchasing in 2020. Is the Google tactics to buy AppSheet is just to bury it ? The fact we see is telling like that.

Sad, I noticed too no updates, no new features, nothing anymore.

Whoohoo, it’s March 2026. Please release something new that the community is in need of and not only provide plans, however plans will be great. Also try commit to these plans so that they don’t feel like empty words to us again.

I don’t mind the delay. I imagine its tricky for official sources such as cschalk_ws to discuss the coming year of Appsheet since the market is shifting so dramatically away from low-code “Citizen Developers” to agentic engineering. I would guess that Google is having to decide how Appsheet fits into their future plans and how that gets communicated.

@cschalk_ws I hope you are keeping well.

Would you perhaps be able to provide us with an update? Please do communicate with us rather than be silent.

I don’t want to sound despondent again or negative on the forum, but it does feel like we have been strung along in this thread considering 5 Dec 2025 announcement, 17 Dec 2025 postpone, 9 Jan 2026 reassurance, 14 Feb 2026 apology for silence with a March 2026 commitment message and now it’s April 2026 soon.

Hi, Guys.

I’m looking forward to seeing AppSheet included in the Google Next session lineup.:folded_hands:

Sadly, nobody here in this AppSheet community is expecting something “positive” to the AppSheet for the coming days, weeks and months, as it looks obvious that Google looks completely lost interest in AppSheet. The no-answer to the indicated “Office Hours” never gonna hosted at all, and the reminders from the community members were completely neglected. Very much sad.

To make the story worse, “NO AppSheet related event” is scheduled during the upcoming Google Next. What does this indicate?

I dont wanna say anything about the future of the AppSheet in the negative tone, but those fact is indicating that Google team completely lost their interest in their own “no-code” platform and presumably moving on “creating apps with AI” kinda stuffs.

Once again, to make my own story worse, my post like this (not for the purpose of complains, but with negative tone) is automatically deleted from the community as Google deems such post as “violation”.

All in all, no hope.

For the team of Google, please feel free to delete this (my) post here.

Google’s in a weird place right now, and it’s not good. They’re destroying trust and good will and delivering nothing (to the public?) outside of Search. It’s very strange.

Hope you are well and thank you for always trying to honour us.

With regards to checking in with this, were you given any update or maybe asked to not respond? These last 6 months have been a soup of mixed feelings.

Is something in the pipeline?

I am still hopeful and excited that there is a treat on the way…
