Google Skills Arcade 2026 Tiers

Big news day! We are finally announcing the Google Skills Arcade 2026 prize tiers. We know how much thought and strategy you all put into building your skills and earning your badges, so we wanted to give you the exact blueprint early enough to plan your ultimate path to the top. Grab your favorite snack, check out the milestones below, and let’s start plotting your route to that dream Arcade Tier!

We want to make sure the rewards go exactly where they belong: to genuine learners putting in real effort on a level playing field. To do that, we’ve optimized our prize system with two major updates this season:

  • Outgrowing the Training Wheels: The Novice tier has officially left the building! Let’s be real—since this is a full, year-long journey, none of you are going to stay a novice in the Cloud. You’re all leveling up way too fast, so we’re focusing all our rewards on the four major milestones below.

  • Limited Spots (With Plenty of Room!): For the first time, we are putting a limit on how many people can get prizes in each tier. But please don’t worry! We looked at last year’s numbers and made sure these new limits are much higher than the total amount of prizes people actually claimed last year. As long as you are playing fair, growing your cloud skills, and earning your badges, there is plenty of room for you to get your rewards!

The Arcade Prize Counter will operate on a strict first-come, first-served basis starting from the Legend Tier.

To make sure your hard work is rewarded, we are using a “Waterfall System” for prize distribution. If a tier’s prize pool fills up before you can claim it, you don’t lose out—your eligibility safely rolls down to the next tier below.

The 2026 Arcade Tier Breakdown:

  • Arcade Legend Tier (120+ Arcade Points)
The very first 2,500 players to reach this tier get Legend prizes. Once these 2,500 spots are gone, anyone else with 120+ points automatically “waterfalls” down to the Champion Tier pool.

  • Arcade Champion Tier (95–119 Arcade Points)
The first 3,000 players to secure a spot (including those rolling down from the Legend Tier) get Arcade Champion prizes. If this fills up, remaining players roll down to the Ranger Tier.

  • Arcade Ranger Tier (75–94 Arcade Points)
The first 4,000 players to secure a spot (including those rolling down from higher tiers) get Arcade Ranger prizes. If this fills up, remaining players roll down to the Trooper Tier.

  • Arcade Trooper Tier (50–74 Arcade Points) The first 6,000 players to reach or roll down to this tier will get Arcade Trooper prizes.

How the Waterfall System Works:
The first-come, first-served rule triggers at the highest level: the Arcade Legend Tier. There are 2,500 Legend prizes available.

If you earn 120+ Arcade Points but miss out on those initial 2,500 Legend slots, you are automatically placed at the front of the line for the Arcade Champion Tier prizes. Your Arcade Points still count, but they now secure you a spot in the next tier down.

This creates a chain reaction: if the Champion Tier prize pool fills up, any remaining players roll down to compete for the Ranger Tier prizes, and so on.

Because every single tier has a maximum cap on available prizes, the earlier you lock in your points, the higher up the waterfall you stay, securing the best rewards before they run out!

The Story Behind the Changes:
If you missed our last update, here is the short story on why we’ve tuned up the system for 2026:

  • Faster Deliveries: Knowing order quantities ahead of time allows us to pre-order your prizes and fast-track their shipment. We are completely rebuilding the back-end shipping pipeline to eliminate bottlenecks, ensuring your rewards hit your doorstep quicker.

  • Total Fairness: New guardrails are in place to stop hoarders, protecting the rewards for real learners like you. We will be announcing rules related to prize eligibility and redemption soon.

  • A Year-Long Marathon: Since this season spans the entire year, the point milestones are built for a steady, long-term journey. You’ve got plenty of time to crush it!

Get all the nitty-gritty details on these changes here. Also, a full breakdown of the updated Arcade rules is landing very soon. Watch this space!

How to Track Your Arcade Points & Arcade Prize Tiers:

  • Check Remaining Spots: A real-time tracker will be updated every single week right on the Arcade Page. Check back weekly to see how many spots are left before a tier fills up!

  • Keeping Score: Keep an eye out for the monthly Arcade Insider email, which will show your exact total of Arcade Points earned so far this season. You can also track where you stand at this very moment by using the Points System outlined on the Arcade Page!

Arcade Facilitator Program 2026:
Your buddies in the Google Skills Arcade land on July 13, 2026, to ensure you never have to fly solo. You can meet them here!

The Arcade Prize Counter:
The Prize Counter will open up shortly after the 2026 season wraps up at the end of the year. You have a lot of time between now and the finish line to aim high, lock in your tier, and claim your rewards.

By sharing these details now, we hope you feel empowered to plan your own path and aim for the tier highest tiers. Do check out the FAQs for more detailed information.

We are so proud of the dedication you show every single day. Keep that momentum going, stay curious, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at the finish line!

See you in the Cloud!

@Yugali I like the waterfall system. Changes are part of life, and with these new changes, let’s see how this goes. I am sure if it is too bad then they will change it again.

I started participating in Google Skills Arcade this month and have already completed this month’s Arcade Games. Currently, I have few Arcade Points.

My concern is about the new prize tiers. If completing the Arcade Games each month gives only 5 points, then from June to December I would earn only around 35 points in total (5 × 7 months). However, the Arcade Trooper tier requires 50 points.

Am I missing something? Are there other ways to earn Arcade Points besides the monthly Arcade Games?

I’m worried that even if I complete every Arcade Game until December, I may still not reach the minimum prize tier. Does that mean participants who started later in the year have little chance of earning a reward?

I would appreciate any clarification. Thank you!

There are three ways to get points
-The Google Skills Arcade(runs throughout the whole year)
-The Facilitator program(only 2 months massive opportunity)
-Skill Badges(Available in google skills and also runs throughout the year)

If I started in June, then what tier can I expect? Why make these changes in the middle of the year instead of next year like bruh…

From my previous participation i can say that if you complete every activity from this month onwards that includes every month games(june to december) + arcade facilitator criteria for extra points + skill badges then you can reach more than 110 arcade points and if they put extra games you would definitely reach the legend tier .

starting from april thinking that the tiers update will be like previous year’s one but shockingly this system dropped in middle of the year… seriously very poor update, Atleast they should have updated this in the starting of the year so that we shouldn’t wasted this much time on daily basis. Very sad leaving the arcade program in middle. thank you google !

Hello Google Skills Arcade Team,

Thank you for taking the time to share the complete details of the Google Skills Arcade 2026 prize structure. I appreciate the transparency and the effort being made to improve fairness, reward distribution, and delivery processes.

While I understand the reasons behind these changes, I would like to respectfully share my perspective as a student and an active participant in the Arcade program.

I am currently at 26 Arcade Points and genuinely enjoy learning through Google Skills Arcade. The platform has helped me explore Google Cloud technologies, build practical skills, and stay motivated to learn throughout the year. However, the introduction of limited prize slots combined with a first-come, first-served system has created some concern for learners like me.

Many participants are students who must balance their learning journey with school examinations, academic responsibilities, and personal commitments. As a result, not everyone can progress at the same pace, even though they may be equally dedicated and committed to learning. The new system may unintentionally place slower but genuine learners at a disadvantage compared to participants who have significantly more time available.

One of the things that has always made Google Skills Arcade special is that it encouraged learning, curiosity, and continuous improvement rather than speed alone. I hope that as the program evolves, opportunities will continue to exist for dedicated learners who consistently participate and develop their skills throughout the year, even if they cannot reach milestones as quickly as others.

I remain grateful for the opportunities that Google Skills Arcade provides and appreciate the hard work of the teams behind the program. Thank you for listening to community feedback and for continuing to invest in learners around the world.

I look forward to future updates and sincerely hope that all genuine learners will have a fair opportunity to benefit from the program.

Best regards,

Rehaan Kaushar

I have a question. How come some people already have 90+ arcade points when the current season started in January?

Maybe they have skill bagdes

What will happen if the trooper tier will be full until i manage to collect 50 points?

Hi, I had 45 points in the last season and I already received the prizes for them. In this season, I currently have 29 points. Will my previous season points be added to this season’s points, or are they counted separately?

I am excited
