I am using Vertex Search for Commerce (previously known as Retail AI). I am trying to train a “Similar Items” model. Testing the model after training (2-5 days) is resulting in an error with no detailed logging: “Failed to get recommendations,” which points to the older Google forum where a broken link to the new forum is displayed.
I recently ingested 100K data points, thinking diversity was the issue, which resulted in 5 days of training and high costs. Even then, it is still showing the error.

I am trying to figure out what is the cause of this error?**
I also put another model into training, as shown in the screenshot, with a new set of data in a different branch. This branch needs to be made the default branch for models to train, as we can’t specify to the model which branch it should train on. Now, this has caused the older model to list the new data in the UI. So, are there any problems if we create two “Similar Items” models with two different sets of data?
