Syncing in editor preview is very slow and often times out today and yesterday. Aplies for several apps we have. Saving changes is normal. Using app as user is almost normal ( a bit slower than normal). The problem seems mainly to aply for editor preview. Often “timeout”-error message. We updated all IP addresses for server. It seems also very unstable. Some apps sync normal in preview. Others not. And suddenly a app with slow sync in preview syncs normal again. A botleneck somewhere? Any idea anyone?
Hello @KON_TROLL, I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with this issue. I am contacting our engineering team to determine if this behavior is widespread or affecting other users. I will be sure to update you on this thread as soon as I have further information.
Thank you:) Appreatiated!
Now our useres also complain. So it seems sync speed is quite unstable there as well. Sometimes ok, other times timeout. Varies a lot.
Hello @KON_TROLL, the best case here would be to contact support so that the engineering team can look into the matter in depth and assist you with some resolution plan.
Ok. Thanks.
Hi
We are facing the same issues
We have been in contact with support. They have just confirmed that they are looking into it. They asked if we use Cloud DB. And we do. Is this the case with you as well.
PS: The issue is not only in preview as I first wrote. Its the same for all our users. Complains are coming in as a storm…!
Are you in Europe? We are located in Norway, using google servers in Finland and Netherland. I don’t know if it is relevant… Silence from Appsheet support team…
Hello @KON_TROLL, I am sorry that you are facing this issue. Can you please share the ticket number so that I can escalate the issue and can follow up promptly.
The ticket number is: 3-5943000040968

We have sent emails to support on this ticket daily, but still no replies other than that they are working on it (copy/paste replies). We have sent additional detalied info several times on our own initiative based on our own investigations, but still not a single question in return. This has been going on for more than one week now. I fear noone is looking at this problem at Appsheet!? Our users are now saying they cannot use Appsheet anymore and gone back to Excel!! This is crazy!!
Hello @KON_TROLL, I am sorry that you are currently facing this issue and thank you for your patience. I can assure you that the team is actively working on a fix. We have an update on the issue from the engineering team:
We’ve recently migrated calls to customer-owned databases (e.g. for syncs) to be routed through a proxy service - this was a move required of us for security / compliance reasons. Calls to this service have a two-minute timeout which is being exceeded in the sync logs I’ve investigated, hence the “Deadline exceeded” error. I have made a change to increase this timeout which is expected to be deployed tomorrow.
I will keep you posted with any further updates!
Thank you so much for this info. This is the first information we have received regarding this matter. It seem like this information is related to our time-out problem.
I do not fully understand the issue with two-minute timeout. I fear increasing this timeout will not solve the problem. All our apps normally usees less than 5 sec to sync. But hopefully the specialists will digg futher into this?
I agree.
There is no improvement. The error messages are now either one of these two below, and they occor all the time for all our different larger apps. Many pr. minute all day! It is NOT related to one app, but more common on our 4 larger apps. And we get no feedback or answers from support. We cannot continiue with this issue. What to do?:

Hi again @Shourya_Tomar
We have now sent this email to support. But maybe you can help us here?![]()
Dear AppSheet Support,
We need to escalate this issue immediately !
For almost three weeks, our AppSheet applications have suffered from severe performance problems. Despite our repeated reports and the information we have provided, the issue remains unresolved. This is no longer simply a technical problem—it has become a business-critical incident.
Our customers are increasingly unable to use their applications, and we are receiving complaints every day. These apps are essential to their daily operations, and the current performance is unacceptable .
If this issue is not resolved within the next few days, we will have no choice but to stop deploying and supporting our solutions on AppSheet. If the situation continues, it could ultimately force us to shut down a significant part of our business.
We need Appsheet and Google to recognize the severity of this incident. A platform that businesses depend on cannot remain in this state for weeks while customers are unable to work. We expect this issue to be treated as a critical production incident, with the necessary engineering resources assigned around the clock until the cause is identified and solved.
We have invested years in building our business on AppSheet because we trusted the platform. Right now, that trust is at serious risk. We urgently need to see that this incident is receiving the highest priority.
We look forward to your immediate response.
Hello @KON_TROLL, I am really sorry that you are facing this issue and thank you so much for showing utmost patience. I have escalated the case and the engineering team is actively working towards a fix! I will definitely keep you posted with further updates.
