Domain Ownership Verification Issue with Google Workspace Account

Hello everyone, I’m facing an unusual challenge with verifying domain ownership for our Google Workspace account. Despite owning (URL Removed by Staff), I’m unable to access the associated Google Workspace account due to lacking login credentials. I’ve tried reaching out to Squarespace for assistance, and they suggested deleting the Google Workspace account entirely. However, I’d prefer avoiding that drastic measure if possible. Has anyone else experienced similar difficulties with domain verification? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think we are facing something similar since migrating from Squarespace.
I am presented with this message: but when I click on the Verify Now button (as the administrator for the workspace) it says I don’t have permission.

Your verification is past due. Google is required to verify certain Google Cloud accounts to protect against fraud and abuse. An administrator for XXXXXXX needs to complete the verification process or you risk losing access to Google Cloud services.

I’m LITERALLY here for a Very Similar Reason!! I am TRYING to keep from Shuffling around EVERY SINGLE DNS and TXT record in hopes of NOT making things worse than They already Are..

I too also cant seem to log into my administrator google workspace account I purchased google domains from from google but I also had one with square I dont understand how nobody is paying any attention to this meaning feedback or help requests I have tried so many times to contact support but I just get a voice bot that doesn’t resolve it for me at all I really need to have some kind of human interaction here in this case I mean I remember how much I had to go thru just to get my account to get my account verified it included a video call bussiness number snd also a google registration card to my address of course my id as well this should be the way to recover your id i would have thought but yet after all that when I really need the account recovered because of stolen device there is no real support to recover it has me having to do all these steps all over again which is complete bS.There has to be a better way I know that the cloud backup and azure should have somebody to speak with …Sorry its very frustrating I just want to get my platform and pipeline back please if anyone could help with some answers I would be so grateful thank you very much I mean I have to get back to work and cant get anywhere if I am constantly having to verify who I am there has be some major errors or something ..going on …and it seems t am not the only one who is struggling from the requests in here please tell me if you were able to resolve the DNS problems maybe I am doing it wrong if anyone has suggestions I am totally greatfull and all ears thanks again

When Google Domains shut down, many domains were transitioned over to Squarespace. However, if your Google Workspace subscription was originally purchased through a reseller like Square (the point-of-sale system) or Google Domains, your billing and account management can sometimes get tangled between the two systems.

When you get locked out due to a stolen device, Google’s automated systems lock down tight for security, which is why you’re getting stuck in that verification loop.

Here is exactly what you need to do:

  1. Go to the Recovery Tool: Open a browser and head to the Google Workspace Admin Account Recovery page (link is provided at the bottom).

  2. Fill in the Details: Enter your affected domain name.

  3. Provide a Safe Contact Email: Give them a standard email address (like a personal @gmail.com) that you currently have access to. Google will send a verification code and a support reference number here.

  4. The DNS Trick (CNAME/TXT Record): The tool will ask you to prove you own the domain by adding a specific text line (a CNAME or TXT record) to your domain’s DNS settings.

    • Where do you do this? Since you mentioned Google Domains and Square, log into Squarespace (or whichever host currently holds your domain domain registration). Look for DNS Settings and add the record Google provides.
  5. Submit the Request: Once the DNS record is updated, return to the recovery form, select Request for Password Reset, and submit.
