Domain registered via legacy Google Cloud reseller path not visible in Cloud Domains, unable to update nameservers

Hi everyone,
I’m stuck in a very unusual situation with my domain (URL Removed by Staff) and I’m hoping someone with knowledge of legacy Google Cloud domain registrations can help.

Summary of the issue:
My domain appears to be registered through Squarespace Domains II LLC but the WHOIS “Reseller” field shows Google Cloud Domains. After speaking with Squarespace, they confirmed the domain was originally registered through a Google Cloud reseller integration, not through Google Domains or Squarespace Domains UI.

Because of this legacy path, I cannot access registrar settings anywhere.

Symptoms:

  • The domain does NOT appear under Cloud Domains → Registrations

  • The Cloud Domains API is enabled, but gcloud domains registrations list shows no results

  • The domain cannot be managed in the Google Workspace Admin console (no DNS or registrar options)

  • No domain shows under any of my Cloud projects in Cloud Domains

  • The domain is my Google Workspace primary domain, so I can prove ownership

  • I can create Cloud DNS zones, but they are not authoritative, because I cannot change the registrar nameservers

  • Squarespace support says:

    • The domain was registered “through Google Cloud”

    • But they cannot access or manage it

    • They attempted to send emails to the registrant email, but I never receive them (likely outdated or incorrect registrant email)

  • WHOIS shows:

    • Registrar: Squarespace Domains II LLC

    • Reseller: Google Cloud Domains

    • Nameservers: ns-cloud-e1/e2/e3/e4 googledomains.com (not the Cloud DNS zone)

So right now, my domain is effectively orphaned:
I own it, it works in Workspace, but I cannot update nameservers or access the registrar resource anywhere.

What I believe I need help with:
Someone from Google (or someone familiar with this specific legacy scenario) confirming whether:

  1. This domain’s registration resource can be surfaced/migrated into Cloud Domains so I can manage it,
    OR

  2. Whether Google Cloud support can manually update the domain’s authoritative nameservers to my Cloud DNS ones,
    OR

  3. Whether there is an internal migration path for these older reseller-registered domains.

I can provide any additional proof of ownership (TXT verification, Workspace admin screenshots, billing credentials, etc.).

Any guidance from Google Cloud employees or anyone who has resolved this same reseller-path situation would be hugely appreciated. I’m currently waiting for a response through the ICANN-mandated registrar contact form, but I’d love to understand if there’s anything I can do on the Google Cloud side in the meantime.

Thank you!
