Hi everyone,
I am posting here because I am facing a critical issue with generating iOS branded apps, and support does not reply my ticket being open since March 14th.
Currently, when uploading a generated build to App Store Connect, Apple flags the build with the following issue:
90725: SDK version issue. This app was built with the iOS 18.0 SDK. Starting April 28, 2026, all iOS and iPadOS apps must be built with the iOS 26 SDK or later, included in Xcode 26 or later, in order to be uploaded to App Store Connect or submitted for distribution.
In short, AppSheet needs to update their backend SDK to Xcode 26 / iOS 26 SDK for the branded app generation process. We have encountered this exact same situation in the past, and it was successfully resolved once the AppSheet engineering team updated the SDK on their end.
With the April 28th deadline upon us, this is incredibly urgent. This limitation is currently a hard blocker for my business: I have several apps currently in TestFlight that I need to resubmit, as well as brand new projects.
Could someone from the AppSheet team please look into this and escalate it to the engineering team ASAP? Is anyone else in the community currently experiencing this roadblock?
I wanted to give time, that’s why we submit the support request more than a month ago.
I know @Jose_Arteaga sometime helps gettings things done faster

Thank you!
Hello @Jonathan1, thank you so much for sharing the ticket number for your issue. I will follow up with the engineering team and keep you posted with updates.
@Shourya_Tomar Thank you! Much appreciated.
To make sure it’s clear, this message from Apple refers to NEW or UPDATED builds being uploaded to the platform. I don’t believe it affects already published apps - they will keep working normally.
I would think that AppSheet has been made WELL aware of the requirement and are working to update the SDK. A confirmation that they are would be tremendously helpful!
Yes, they definitely need to update it! Last time this happened, posting here worked and @Gil eventually confirmed the fix.
While live apps are fine for now, TestFlight builds expire after just 90 days, forcing us to submit new ones. Plus, AppSheet naturally deprecates older branded apps every 12-18 months I think, and Apple requires to update your builds every 2 or 3 years…
So even if your app works today, it has a short lifecycle for security reasons. That’s why getting this SDK update done ASAP is important for Apple users!
Hi, I just wanted to acknowledge that we recognize the time sensitivity of the situation and we have been working on this update with high priority since the deprecation was announced. We expected to have it complete last week, but working through the cascade of compatibility and dependency issues associated with such a major version upgrade has been an ongoing challenge, as resolving any particular issue often reveals another downstream of it. We believe we are near the end of this process, but due to this moving-goalpost dynamic, it’s difficult to know for sure until we get there.
I believe @WillowMobileSys is correct that this deadline passing should not affect already-published apps, so even if the deadline passes it should not be immediately destabilizing. But we are still aiming to get the update out as soon as possible.
@Adam-google Thank you for the update.
The latest attempt to update the iOS SDK for this process appears to have finally worked. The changes went live today and we have seen several successful runs with no failures so far. Please give it another try and let us know if you encounter any problems.
