This article reviews what appears on your user profile page and explains what content is visible to yourself and other users.
Summary
The summary tab shows a user’s stats, top replies, top topics, top links, most replied to, most liked by, most liked, top categories, and top badges
Stats
This section displays key information about the user’s activity and participation on the Google Developer Program forums.
- Days visited - number of days a registered, logged-in user has accessed the site
- Read time - the amount of time a user spends with forum posts visible on their screen
- Recent read time - reading activity within the past 60 days
- Topics viewed - the number of different topics a user has opened and viewed
- Posts read - the number of individual posts a user has fully read
- Likes given - number of likes given
- Likes received - number of likes received
- Topics created - number of new topics (discussion threads) that a user has started
- Posts created - number of individual messages posted (ie: first post that starts a topic, every reply made to any topic)
- Solutions - number of replies marked as a solution
Top Replies
Highlights a user’s most highly regarded replies across the site, typically the replies that have received the most likes from the community.
Top Topics
Displays a user’s most impactful topics, based on a specific scoring formula, including but not limited to: number of views, likes on the first post, number of replies.
Top Links
Shows the external links that a user has posted with the most clicks by other members.
Most Replied To
Highlights the fellow community members that the user has responded to the most in the forums.
Most Liked By
Lists the fellow community members who have given the most likes to the user’s posts.
Most Liked
Shows the community members who have received the most likes from the user.
Top Categories
Shows the top 5 categories where the user is most active. It displays the number of topics and replies a user has contributed in each of those categories.
Top Badges
Displays at a glance the most noteworthy achievements or status within the forums. These typically included the user’s most significant achievements (such as trust level badges, rare gold or silver badges) or the badges that best represent the user’s contributions to the forums.
Activity
This tab shows a user’s activity (ie: All, topics, replies, read, drafts, likes, bookmarks, and solved)
Your profile
The tabs will show your activity (all, topics, replies, read, drafts, likes, bookmarks, solved)
- All activity
- Topics - shows all topics created
- Replies - shows replies to topics
- Read - shows posts read
- Drafts - posts started and not discarded
- Likes - posts you have liked
- Bookmarks - topics that you have bookmarked
- Solved - replies that have been marked as solved
Another User’s profile
When viewing another user’s profile you, this tab shows your activity (all, topics, replies, likes, solved)
- All activity
- Topics - shows all topics created by user
- Replies - shows replies by user to topics
- Likes - posts user has liked
- Solved - replies made by the user and marked as solved
Notifications
This displays all of the user’s notifications. This is only viewable on your own profile page.
Your profile
This tab will show all your notifications (all, replies, likes, @mentions, edits, links)
- All notifications
- Replies - replies to your topics/posts from other users
- Likes - when a user likes your topic/posts
- @ mentions - when a user @ mentions you in a post
- Edits - when an edit is made to a topic/post you are watching
- Links - when links are shared on a topic/post you are watching
Badges
This shows all badges that have been earned by you or a specific user. To learn more about what badges are available, please review our Understanding forums Trust Levels and Badges article.
Your profile
Displays all the badges you have earned by participating in the forums.
You have the ability to star or favorite certain badges by clicking on the star
By clicking on a badge, you will get the description and be able to view how many other users have been granted that badge.
Click on 'Granted to others xx times’ and you will see the list of other forums users that have also earned that badge.
Another User’s profile
This tab shows the badges that the user has earned from participating in the forums.
