This support article will help you learn how to manage your notifications.
You can determine the level of notifications you want to receive. From the homescreen of each category where you are allowed to create a topic, you will see the bell icon to the right of the New Topic button. When you click on the icon, the dropdown menu gives you the ability to pick your level of notifications.
Notification on Threads
If you want to stay up to date on a specific thread you can set up notifications for specific threads and stay in the know anytime a new reply is made. When you open a topic, you can click the bell icon just under the topic timeline on the right rail. You can select the level of notifications you would like to receive on a specific thread.
You can locate all notifications by clicking on your avatar and selecting the bell icon.
Notifications for Tags
We have set a default ‘googler-article’ tag for everyone located in the left rail under Tags. This tag is used to locate googler articles specific to cloud products.
There are multiple ways in which you can find tags to update notifications. You have the ability to customize the Tags section of the menu by clicking the pencil icon.
You can search by tag or scroll to locate the desired tag, click the box next to the tag(s) you would like to easily see the topics across the community that use that specific tag, click Save Changes.
The tag(s) will now appear in the left menu under the Tags section.
You can also look to see what tags are available across the community within each Tag Group. Click on All tags under the Tags section. You can scroll through the tag groups that are available.
Setting up notifications for tags is the most granular level for staying in the know about your favorite products and topics. Click on the specific tag(s) you want to update the level of notifications you receive on topics with that tag. To know where the tag is being used, click on the icon. This will tell you the areas where the tag is being used so that you are aware of any other areas that may be using the same tag.
To update the notification level, click on the bell icon just to the right of the New Topic button.
You can also find tags at the top of category by selecting the tags drop-down
When you select a tag from the drop-down all topics with that tag will appear in the activity feed.

You can select a subcategory in the top category by clicking on the subcategories drop-down.
Once you select a subcategory you can then select a tag from the dropdown menu, all posts containing that tag in that category will populate in a list.
Bookmarks
Just like you set notifications to threads and forums, you can also bookmark topics. Bookmarks are more static and provide easy access to your favorite topics from your avatar dropdown in the top right corner of the screen.
Within a topic, you can click on the 3 dots to expand more options or click on located at the bottom of the topic.
When clicking on the bookmark icon, you can select options on setting up a reminder of the bookmark, to expand on the options you can click the More Options to set your personal preferences for each bookmark.
You can title the bookmark, set the reminder, select how the bookmark is handled after the reminder.
You can save the bookmark details by clicking Save or you can delete the bookmark by clicking the trash can.
You can easily access your bookmarks from your avatar dropdown menu.
Managing Notifications
Once you have set up your notifications, you will be notified of activity related to your content preferences in the profile drop-down menu. To expand your notification view and manage your notifications, click the bell icon on the right side of the dropdown menu.
From the same avatar dropdown menu, you have the option to pause all notifications. When you click on the Profile icon, a pop-up offers specific timeframes for the pause.
If you want a more personalized notification schedule, select Set a notification schedule option at the bottom of the pop-up.
If you ever want to edit a notification or bookmark visit the post or tag and use the bell icon to adjust the timing of the notifications or to mute them all together.
