Hi @luizmb ,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

The issue may stem from several possible causes, including syntax errors in the generated code (like missing colons or incorrect indentation), incomplete or overly complex code snippets, use of unsupported or advanced language features, version mismatches between Python environments, ambiguous prompts, or even rare internal errors or limitations within the Gemini platform itself.

Here’s what you can do:

Instead of relying on Gemini to auto-insert working code, treat its output as a reference—manually copy it into your file and fix common issues like incomplete expressions, mismatched scopes, or naming conflicts. Use a syntax-highlighting editor to catch errors such as missing colons or indentation problems, compare the generated code to known working examples to spot differences, and run it in a separate Python environment to help isolate and identify specific errors.

  • Clear Browser Cache/Cookies or Try a Different Browser/Device:

If you’re experiencing issues with Gemini AI Studio, try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies, as cached data can sometimes interfere with web app functionality. You can also reset Gemini to its default settings via the preferences menu to resolve potential configuration problems. Additionally, test the platform on a different browser or device to rule out browser-specific issues.

This helps the Gemini team investigate and improve the platform if you’re encountering an error. When reporting, include key details like your prompt, the generated code (even if it looks correct), the exact error message, your programming language and libraries, the file or project type, and any relevant logs or console output. Being thorough and patient will help the team provide better support and enhance the tool.

Ok I have solved it - I am pretty sure.
ask Gemini when we see the The code change produced by Gemini could not be fully parsed. Can’t automatically accept changes. to re-contextualize the file in question. It appears that between diffs it does not renew its context and so its view of the code is one that could be from a while ago. I still ask gemini to provide smaller functionally related chunks - as sometimes this just sperates the errors out of a larger chunk but I am pretty certain most of the issues are in the context refresh required between trying to alter code.

Seems like is some bug going on, it happens to me aswell almost always if i not start new chat, thats the only solution i found, just almost at every question just start new chat.
