When participants consistently say the rewards aren’t useful, repeating the same kind of swag just feels careless. Legend Tier should feel like progress, not a repeat of past letdowns.
Tagging @Yugali — hoping this time the feedback is actually taken seriously and the Legend Tier swag is replaced or upgraded. People are putting in real work, and the recognition should reflect that.
We are not Nursery or Kindergarten kids This is Not a Swag, this is an Insult of our Hard Work,Time, Energy and Money (in the form of Internet recharge sp:wireless:) spending on Google Cloud.
Hence I request you to please take some proper and strict action in this regards
Warning : Don’t think it as a joke we all are very disappointed of your Carelessness and irresponsible of Swags Decisions
Lego Jacket Diary was pretty useful than this plastic made 450+ Pieces of Cloud Bricks Logo.. waaye @Yugali & @akshitj waaye!!! Look at Legends Tiers this season, All the items are not perfect for Legends OR Champions Tiers!!!
Following the past trend, there is a slight chance of getting backpacks at the Trooper and Legend tiers. For the ranger, they are giving a lantern instead of a T-shirt and this Lego set in place of the bag. But one swag each for the trooper and legend tiers is still to be revealed, and the backpacks are revealed at last, so don’t lose hope, comrades.
VERY Pathetic Swag Dropping This Season. I would say & it would definitely be the same:
ALL Prizes across each Tiers MUST BE announced in the start of the brand new season ONLY — NO Later Swag Dropping of unexpected items!!! @Yugali@akshitj
According to UNEP guidelines, it’s Say No to Plastic — sustainability, responsibility, climate goals, etc. Great initiative, truly
So naturally, the solution is… 450+ plastic pieces to assemble a logo.
Because nothing says green future like manufacturing tiny plastic bricks so we can “build Google Cloud” on our desks instead of building actual skills and careers.
Apparently, understanding sustainability is harder than launching global cloud services. A simple metal bottle (reusable, practical, actually aligned with UNEP goals) was too complex to think of.
After grinding labs, deadlines, and challenges, the reward is a plastic puzzle with zero utility. Not productivity. Not motivation. Just shelf décor disguised as innovation.
Feels less like encouragement and more like:
“We ran out of ideas, but here’s a logo — assemble your disappointment yourself.”
Guess we’re not cloud engineers anymore.
We’re Google Cloud LEGO architects now.
Arcade learners already built Google cloud logo inside their hearts,
we do not want plastic logo’s on our desk even if its Google Cloud.
@Yugali , please replace this plastic swag with environment friendly swag. or provide option to order remaining swags except plastic swags( I do not want any plastic swags ). Please convey this message to Whitesquare , so that they can update their portal accordingly.
@Yugali This is our very serious request:
“In an effort to protect our environment and align with our sustainability goals, we have a strict policy against using plastic-made products. Please provide options for plastic-free, Earth-friendly swag only.”
@ayush007@RAOKS@Babar_Ali
I get the disappointment, but constant tagging during the drop might not be the most effective way to reach the team. They’re likely swamped managing the scale of the Arcade right now. If the swags don’t hit the mark for you this time, maybe consider donating them? I usually give my extras to a nearby orphanage—it makes the whole experience feel a lot more meaningful regardless of the ‘tier’ of the gift.
