This time, the Arcade team was quite disappointing, with no useful swags and no motivation to continue with future cohorts.

Now the disappointment level has officially peaked.

450+ pieces to build… a logo. Wow. Exactly what every tech student and working professional dreams of after grinding labs, deadlines, and challenges.

Honestly, could the team not think of a single practical use for this? A basic metal bottle would’ve been far more useful than a desk showpiece that does nothing for productivity or motivation.

This drop feels less like a reward and more like a reminder that effort doesn’t always translate into value. Quite disappointing from the Arcade team — minimal utility, zero excitement, and honestly, very little motivation to continue into future cohorts.

Guess we’re building logos now… instead of careers. :cloud::puzzle_piece:

Dear @Yugali @akshitj & Team,

I’m writing to express extreme disappointment with this season’s swag drop. It feels like the efforts are intentionally demotivating audience. The swags are all repetitive, fewer in quantity, lack useful or tech-related items, and instead, you’ve raised the milestone criteria from 25 to 95

After aiming high, what we got…feels like a letdown. 450+ paper logos, sticker sheets, a logo badge. It’s hard to see this as anything but a waste, especially when many are giving up after seeing this. Increasing the criteria should come with swags that feel worthwhile, not something we’d throw away.

To be honest, this is the worst Arcade season I’ve seen. It doesn’t feel like justice for our efforts.

If you can’t provide meaningful swags, then stop pushing us harder. I, and many others, feel mentally drained seeing your previous swag drops.

I hope you reconsider the swags and recognize the effort participants put in. We deserve better.

The Google Cloud DIY Logo is a physical reward, a build-it-yourself kit with over 450 pieces that, once assembled, forms the iconic Google Cloud logo. It’s unlocked when participants in the Google Skills Arcade reach the Ranger Tier by earning Arcade Points. This DIY logo is designed to be a satisfying project that mirrors the process of developing skills and serves as a tangible recognition of progress, meant to be proudly displayed on a desk or shelf, and also connects earners to exciting future developments in the Google Skills Arcade.
