When I go to edit the connection of an existing Microsoft SQL Server Datasource or create a new one, the setup screen is only partially displayed
Reports are working so not sure why I can’t create or edit data sources.
Is this because we are using SQL Server 2022? I know the connector is only compatible up to SQL Server 2017 but I guess I assumed if my reports worked the connector would work. So, that would explain why I can’t edit the connection possibly. But it doesn’t explain why it won’t display when I am trying to create a new datasource. As I can’t even enter the connection information for it to know what version of sql I am running.
This behavior usually happens when the connector configuration dialog in Looker Studio doesn’t fully load due to cached UI data or browser rendering issues. The Microsoft SQL Server connector screen is rendered dynamically from Looker Studio’s JavaScript client, so stale cache or blocked scripts can cause the partial display you’re seeing. Start by clearing your browser cache and cookies, then reload Looker Studio in an incognito window or another browser. Also confirm that third-party cookies and pop‑ups are allowed, since the connector setup uses embedded frames for credential and parameter inputs.
If the issue persists across browsers, check your account’s Looker Studio Pro environment at Looker Studio Overview to verify that the project region and connector configuration are accessible. Reports continuing to work confirms the data source credentials remain valid, so this is likely a UI rendering fault rather than a backend connection error. If clearing cache and testing incognito doesn’t restore the full setup view, open a support case through Looker Studio Pro support in the console so the team can review logs tied to your account session.

Thanks for the options to try. Unfortunately, none of that worked for me. I’ll try getting a support case started.
