I’m reaching out to the community to see if anyone has faced a similar situation or knows how to properly escalate this with Google/AppSheet support.
I am adapting an AppSheet app to launch in Europe, which strictly requires compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and data residency within EU servers.
I was in direct contact with AppSheet Support, and they explicitly confirmed via email that the migration of my app’s data to EU infrastructure would take 10 days. However, that timeframe has now fully passed, I have received no update, and support has gone silent despite my follow-ups.
This delay is blocking my launch and putting my project at serious legal risk regarding data compliance.
I’d really appreciate any help with the following:
Escalation channels: Is there an official Google Cloud / AppSheet Community Manager or Premier Partner who can help escalate stalled GDPR migration tickets?
Checking status: Is there any way to verify on my end if the EU residency transfer was actually performed in the background?
Experience: Has anyone successfully resolved a broken timeline for EU data residency with AppSheet recently?
I received an internal update heading into the weekend indicating that the engineering team is actively addressing this, with progress targeted for this week.
While I’m waiting for them to work their magic, I will keep a close eye and follow up as soon as I have a firm confirmation.
Thanks so much for the update, Jose. Hopefully, the activation process goes smoothly. Please let me know once you can confirm the European portal is up and running, because the AppSheet engineering team doesn’t have an ETA for it yet either
Yes, I now have access to the European portal. The only remaining issue is that the “Copy to region” button to transfer the existing application to the European portal is still not appearing for me. I am not sure if you can assist me with this part as well.
Thank you so much for your help in getting the European portal activated for me—I am truly grateful for your support!
