Postgres 16 release date?

Hey,

Postgres 16 was released over 5 months ago, and your own documentation states that you aim to support new major versions of Postgres within 5 months. Any updates on when we can expect Postgres 16 support?

This also happened a year ago with Postgres 15 (discussion here), so I’m disappointed to see the same thing happen again this year. It’s frustrating for us to not be able to plan when we can spin up new databases, as there are usually features in the new release we want to take advantage of.

Support for Postgres 16 is scheduled to be released with CloudSQL in the first half this year. Stay Tuned for future announcements.

Any clearer timelines would be greatly appreciated. We are now almost 50% done with first half of this year and more than 6 months from the release of PG16.
Early visibility to timing will help us with our associated upgrade planning.

@ms4446 Is this still in the works? it’s well beyond the 5 months - the logical replication off of read replicas especially would be a life-saver.

Hi there, is there any updates available?
We’re holding off moving our infra to GCP because of this.
