Pivot Table Not Displaying in Looker Studio (GA4 Data Source)

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with pivot tables in Looker Studio. When I open my report, only the pivot table appears blank, while all other visualization types (such as tables and charts) display correctly. This issue started recently, even though the same setup was working fine last month.

Details:
Data Source: GA4
Rows: “Page Title and Screen Class”
Columns: “Default Channel Group”
Metric: “Active Users”
Issue: The pivot table remains completely blank, but other visualizations using the same data source and fields display correctly.

What I Have Tried:
Created a new pivot table from scratch → Still blank.
Changed row and column dimensions → No effect.
Checked data using a standard table (non-pivot) → Data appears correctly.
Reconnected the GA4 data source → No change.
Tested with a different GA4 property → Same issue occurs.
Cleared cache and refreshed the data → No improvement.
Used a different browser and incognito mode → Still blank.
There are no error messages—just a blank pivot table. I have also checked Google’s support pages and forums but couldn’t find a similar issue reported recently.

Questions:
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Could there be a recent change in Looker Studio affecting pivot tables?
Any additional troubleshooting steps I should try?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My pivot table isn’t built on GA4 data, so it’s not data source issue…

Are you using the new Modern Charts feature? I f you are that may be the problem. I have it too. I started using the new Modern Charts last week. Pivot Tables do not display.

I think that I replied before. Anyway, this may be related to using the Modern Charts feature that was recently made available. I started using Modern Charts a few days ago. All of my visualizations work EXCEPTfor Pivot Tables.

I’ve turned off Modern charts, and now pivot tables look fine - thank you!

I noticed an issue in the console: some opacity errors appear when the Modern Charts feature is enabled

As you pointed out, I was using the new Modern Charts feature.
After adjusting the settings, the issue was resolved. For now, I’ll avoid using Modern Charts until things are more stable.
I really appreciate your help.

I’m having this issue and we are NOT using modern charts? Nearly every pivot table is showing errors. Any other suggestions?
