Our OAuth app’s data access verification has been stuck in “under review” status for over 6 months. Branding verification was approved, but data access remains pending.

Scopes requested: Tag Manager API sensitive scopes (tagmanager.manage.accounts, tagmanager.edit.containers, tagmanager.edit.containerversions, tagmanager.publish) + userinfo.email
Timeline:
- Nov 2024: First submitted for verification
- Jul 2025: Discovered our group email (launch***) was not receiving external emails — all communications from the verification team were silently lost. Fixed the email configuration and restarted the verification process.
- Sep 2025: “Privacy policy requirements” appeared as under review
- Mar 2026: Still showing “Your app’s data access is under review” in the Verification Centre
What we’ve done:
- Fixed the email issue and added individual developer emails
- Verified our domain (tr***.com) in Google Search Console
- Updated authorized domains
- Privacy policy is published and accessible
Impact: Our clients (hotel businesses) use this tool to install tracking scripts via Google Tag Manager. They see the “This app isn’t verified” warning and are unable to proceed, which blocks their onboarding.
We have not received any email from the verification team requesting additional information or action. We’ve checked spam folders across all configured email addresses.
