Hello, The primary admin of our Workspace received an email with this subject line back on August 11, 2025. The from address is workspace-noreply@google.com

In the body of the message, is the below excerpt. The message claims that an attached csv file contains a list of affected scripts. How do I go about investigating this message and determining if it is something we need to take action on, or if it is an error or noise from Google? I am not aware that our org is using Apps Script (though it is enabled as a Service). Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

We encourage you to begin the migration process as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition before we remove support for the Rhino runtime, which will happen no earlier than January 31, 2026.

To assist you with this transition, we’ve identified all the Apps Script projects in your domain that are currently using the Rhino runtime. Please review the attached PDF and CSV files, and then work with your script developers to migrate these projects to the V8 runtime:

  • PDF file: This contains the description of each required field in the accompanying CSV file. Save a copy of this file.

  • CSV file: This contains the details about your impacted scripts

On august 11 they got an error while sending this mail so noone got the attached CSV. Probably everyone who didn’t had to migrate a project got the mail too.
They resent the right one in the end of august. So if you didn’t receive that one, you are save!
