Hello everyone,
I’m trying to set up a personal Google Cloud Platform (GCP) billing account for sandbox testing, training, and building personal projects in Saudi Arabia. Because CNTXT is the exclusive reseller and local partner in the Kingdom, all local billing addresses are automatically routed through their onboarding portal.
However, individual registration is completely blocked with the following error:
“Individual (non-business) onboarding is temporarily unavailable.” (screenshot attached)
This is a major roadblock for local developers, freelancers, and students who want to learn the ecosystem, deploy simple apps (like FlutterFlow backends), or do sandbox training without having a Commercial Registration (CR) number or a company Google Workspace domain.
I don’t want to use the common workaround of choosing a fake country, as that violates standard billing profile terms and makes it incredibly messy to cleanly transfer my projects to a legitimate local business account later.
A couple of questions for the community or any Google/CNTXT reps lurking here:
- Any official timeline on when CNTXT plans to re-enable individual, credit-card-backed onboarding for standard @gmail.com accounts?
- Is there an official, compliant way to create a standard individual developer billing account for sandbox training in KSA right now without a business registration?
Appreciate any advice or workarounds that don’t involve spoofing my billing country!
