Error creating resources in me-central2 (Dammam)

I am trying to create a Cloud Storage bucket in the Dammam region. According to the docs, for non-KSA customers, this region is limited to those that have Invoiced Billing enabled. However, to apply for invoiced billing it says you have to be spending $3500 a month but we have only just created our GCP project as we are multi-cloud.

How can we get the Dammam region enabled on our account? Should we apply for Invoiced Billing regardless, or can somebody enable this for us without.

Nick, this is a good question for the the sales and customer engineering team. If you are not in contact with them, let me know where you are based and ideally the name of your company in private and I can follow up.

Dear Kir,

I am facing a similar issue. We are a start up representing clients in Saudi Arabia and we would really love to start using resources in me-central2.

However, in after the public launch today I am unable to create resources. Could you please help direct me on next steps.

Good luck! I’ve been sent on a merry go round between the Google Sales and Google Billing teams. Each one keeps sending me back to the other. Nobody seems to be interested in taking responsibility to get the issue resolved. Losing patience with Google somewhat. It would be hard to justify moving more of our Cloud workload to Google based on this experience.

I’m talking to people at Google trying to figure this out. If you have a
way to open a support ticket, please do. I’m the end it seems that what
you want requires invoiced billing and we need to find a human who can set
that up for you.

@nasr Still no unfortunately. To say dealing with Google on this has been frustrating would be a understatement!
