Image Storage

Hi all,

This is not a question as such but for my own understanding. When I am logged into an app via tablet and the WiFi is connected I can see images if i click into a particular view and display them. When I turn the WiFi off, and go back to the app I can see the images I had viewed previously, but not images that I had not previously viewed.

These images are stored in one drive folders and within an excel sheet on one drive that pulls in the data; but I am curious as to where the images are “downloaded” on the tablet that they remain available without internet access??

I am no expert on how the backend works for AppSheet, but all apps on your phone/tablet/etc have a storage called the cache. Apps usually store things like images, user settings, and such there to speed up load times and prevent the unnecessary data usage. AppSheet probably only downloads the images when they are called for, so it caches those and not the others.
