Starting today, enterprise customers can now create AppSheet teams based on Microsoft groups. This significantly expands the set of customers that can take advantage of AppSheet’s fine grain governance capabilities and team sharing capabilities.
How does it work?
Previously, customers were limited in creating teams based on domains, Google Groups or a Workspace organization. Users that authenticated to AppSheet through Microsoft defaulted into the domain-based team. Today it is possible to create teams based on Microsoft Groups in addition to Google Groups.
As a result, it is now possible to apply distinct policies and team settings to users in your Microsoft Groups. It is also possible to share data sources, apps and external services with select Microsoft Groups, using the existing team shared assets infrastructure. You can view users included in each team via the My Organization dashboard.
How do I get started?

Team management, policies, team settings require an enterprise license for the admin and the users subject to those restrictions. It is not guaranteed that policies and team settings will apply to users without an enterprise license.

An AppSheet admin can create Microsoft based teams using the AppSheet Admin Console after you have connected your Microsoft credentials to your AppSheet account. Learn more
