I am trying to control my AppSheet developers by putting them in AppSheet Teams based on underlying Google Groups.
I have users in both (URL Removed by Staff), and (Domain Removed by Staff), and my team creation is failing with 400 (bad request). Gemini is saying that this is because you cannot have team members from different domains. (I created a different team with members in the same domain fine.)
Is this correct? And if so, why? Seems like a bizarre restriction in 2026.

Hello @Scott_Nesbitt,
After looking into this further, I’ve outlined the steps to set up AppSheet Organizations & Groups:
- Create an Organization: Set up an AppSheet Organization verified with a primary Workspace domain.
- Use Google Groups: Create a Google Group that contains users from multiple, authorized domains.
- Define Team via Group: In the AppSheet Admin Console (My Team > Manage Team > Create team from group), select the Google Group to define membership.
- Add Auth Domains: Ensure all domains are listed in your Auth Domains to allow them to log in.
Please give this a try and let me know if it resolves the access requirements for your team!

When you say Add Auth Domains, do you mean I have to add ironmountain.com.br ? If so, how can I do that? When I just click New Auth Domain in the console it does not let me specify the domain.
Thanks
I understand. At this point, I think the best course of action is to have someone walk you through the process. Please follow the steps below:
Go to Appsheet help
-
Scroll down to the bottom, you will find a box with the following text
Need more help?
Try these next steps:
Contact us - Tell us more and we’ll help you get there
-
At this point you will be redirected to a three steps process in which users will possibly find answers to the query they have. Click Next
-
Click Next Step
-
Specify your preferred language and either click on Chat or e-mail
Please let me know how it goes.
