Gemini 3.1 flash lite US availability in vertex ai

Hi,

I’m currently using Gemini models via Vertex AI API and noticed that Gemini 3.1 Flash (or Flash-Lite) is not available in my project when using the us-central1 region.

I wanted to check:

  • Is Gemini 3.1 Flash currently only available via the global endpoint?

  • Is it still in a phased rollout for regional endpoints like us-central1?

  • Is there any timeline or allowlisting process to access it in specific regions?

For context:

  • We are using Vertex AI API (not AI Studio)

  • Region: us-central1

  • Use case: batch processing / LLM pipeline

Would appreciate any clarification on availability and rollout.
