Gemini-live-2.5-flash and gemini-live-2.5-flash-preview-native-audio-09-2025 region availability

I was wondering about the region availability of the two model variants.

  1. I know that “gemini-live-2.5-flash” is in private GA (see Live API  |  Generative AI on Vertex AI  |  Google Cloud Documentation ). I can use the model via region=”global” but selecting another region results in a policy error. How can we enable the model in other regions, or is it not possible?
  2. “gemini-live-2.5-flash-preview-native-audio-09-2025” is currently only available in us-central1. Are there any plans to move this model into GA and make it available in other regions as well?
