When you create a new group chat with a personal account, every member will be invited via email (nowhere viewable in Chat) to the chat and needs to accept before joining the chat. Previously, you could be automatically added if you have had a 1-1 chat by the group creator, which made for a much more seemless experience. The new method has made Google Chat nearly unusable with a personal account, and it would be fantastic to have this reversed.
