Deleting my workspace account

Hello Will,

Thank you for contacting Google Workspace Support. My name is Rammurti and I am representing the Account Recovery Team for Google Workspace Support.

I appreciate your time over the phone. It was a pleasure speaking with you.

As discussed, I understand you’re waiting for confirmation that the data associated with your Google Workspace account has been deleted.

I see that canceling your subscription removed your access to Google Cloud, and you’re unable to contact the Google Cloud Team directly. As I mentioned, the data will be deleted after some time.

To connect with the Google Cloud Team directly, please follow the link below.

I am part of the Account Recovery team and we only help the Super admins with access issues. I understand your issue is not related to the access rather than that your issue is regarding deletion of the Google cloud account. Please follow the above link to get connected with the Google cloud support team.

Please note, this case will now be marked closed. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you happen to need help with accessing your Google Workspace account and we will do our best to assist you.

Regards,

Rammurti Kumar

I’d love to do this but I cant because following the steps to delete my workspace account severed my access to Google Cloud support… as I no longer have any subscriptions. So far I’ve wasted 72 hours and spoken to 9 people.

Can I suggest both teams work together - delete my data because I dont have access either via web or app, so I can reclaim my domain name which isnt even the primary domain or listed under any of the domains or users but reports email address in use by another profile.

This is not a good experience. I’ve escalated your case to help get this resolved for you.

The doc Data deletion on Google Cloud | Security says:

“Organizations that are bound to a Google Workspace or Cloud Identity account are deleted when you delete a Google Workspace or Cloud Identity account.”

But its not very helpful if they don’t tell you if or when it will be done.

Ok, I’ve been assured that you don’t need to take further action to ensure your Google Cloud data gets deleted.

When you cancel your Workspace subscription, the Cloud Billing system sees that its only admin is now “Inactive.” This triggers account Google Cloud account suspension immediately and data deletion within 30 days.
