Delayed sync problem

Years ago when I used Appsheet, it allows us to set the app to sync in the background at its own time, so that the app won’t freeze while it syncs, but it will not sync immediately upon editing

One would see a number on the sync button whenever something is edited
then after a few seconds the number will disappear indicating that it has been synced

Now when I go to the behaviour setting of the app
I can only get two settings:

  1. sync whenever there is a change on the records, the app will freeze for 5-10 seconds while it is syncing before moving on
  2. sync whenever you click the sync button, as soon as you click it, the app will freeze until syncing is done

How could one get back to that ‘background sync’ setting or has it been taken out?
