I am developing a video AI dubbing solution that utilizes the YouTube Data API v3. My project has been flagged as requiring a CASA security assessment, and I need some guidance on how to proceed.
Yesterday (September 18, 2025), I saw this requirement in the “Review progress” section of the Verification Center in the Google Cloud Console. The notification states that I need to “follow the instructions in the email you received from the Trust and Safety team.”
However, I have not received this crucial email. I have already taken the following steps:
Thoroughly checked all spam, junk, and promotion folders.
Confirmed that the primary contact email for my Google Cloud project is correct and active.
For context, my application requests the following sensitive/restricted scopes, which is likely why the CASA assessment is required:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload
As I am on the Basic support plan, I am seeking guidance here in the community. My main questions are:
Is there a standard procedure or a direct link to begin the CASA assessment if the instructional email has not been received?
What is the recommended course of action in this scenario to avoid delays in the app verification process?
Has anyone else experienced this, and how was it resolved?
Any help or advice on how to move forward would be greatly appreciated.
I’m currently going through this for drive.readonly scope. Took about a week after “verification pending casa” to get the first email - then the team at Google will test functionality end to end as a new user signing up to your platform, check privacy policy and branding etc. Passed all that, took about 2 weeks with a few back and forth emails (i moved my privacy policy, that made chaos tbf). Now waiting on the email from the CASA assessment team to start that actual verification process. Hopefully this helps someone new.
Having similar issue, I did not receive the email, I believe due to a forwarding issue. Trying to finid out who I would reach out to, to have the email resent.
I am in the same situation. Reading this thread, it seems that the status is changing at one point in the flow from this: Your app has not met additional requirements. Please resolve the following issues:
You are required to complete a CASA security assessment for your app.
Follow the instructions in the email you received from the Trust and Safety team to complete the CASA assessment.
to something else? What does one see if I may ask when the email has been sent?
