We’re an agency and have been experiencing this issue for several months across multiple client dashboards in Looker Studio.
We’re unable to edit vertical bar charts because the Setup and Style tabs appear completely blank. Previously, we could work around this by temporarily changing the chart type to a table, which would display all settings and allow us to adjust metrics, after which we could switch back to a column chart.
However, this workaround no longer works. Now, whenever we click on a vertical bar chart to edit it, the entire dashboard crashes and becomes unavailable for several minutes. We receive the following error message (translated from Danish):
Unable to connect to this website.
The website at https://lookerstudio.google.com/reporting/[anonymized]/edit may be temporarily down or may have permanently moved to a new URL.
ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE
The only temporary solution is to recreate the charts from scratch. They will function normally for a while, but if we later return to edit them, the same issue occurs again.
We have already tried clearing browser cache, using different user accounts, incognito mode, reconnecting data sources, and more. None of these have resolved the issue.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone have insights into what might be causing this bug or how to fix it?
