Bar chart properties not loading correctly for some charts in Looker Studio

Hi everyone,

I’m running into a strange issue in Looker Studio where Bar chart properties don’t load correctly for some bar charts, while others work fine within the same report.

What’s happening:

When selecting certain bar charts, the Bar chart properties panel is incomplete or missing options. Other bar charts using the same data source load all properties normally. The issue is isolated to specific charts, not the entire report

What I’ve tried so far (no success):

• Restarted my computer
• Cleared browser cache
• Tested in different browsers
• Reloaded the report multiple times
• Duplicated the affected chart
• Recreated the chart from scratch
• Environment / Context:

Looker Studio (web)

Data source: Google Sheets

OS: Windows 10

Browsers tested:

Google Chrome (Windows 10) & Microsoft Edge (Windows 10)

Same data source and chart type work correctly in other charts

Has anyone experienced this behavior before?

I am also facing similiar issues

I too face problems with my bar charts and pie charts. they were working smoothly till date. i believe this is not a configuration problem . it might be a issue related to google servers. hope they will rectify it soon
