Hi GCC,
I reach out to you looking for a solution I couldn’t find in the FQA section.
This is the current situation:
-
I work for an IT company that migrated to google a while ago.
-
With our license is included an Appsheet Core license for all in the organization.
-
I developed some apps in Appsheet that are ready to share.
The Problem: -
By policy we cannot share any information outside the organization. It’s a MUST NOT. For the security of the company and our clients.
-
With the basic google services (Drive, Sheets, docs, etc.) there is no problem. We try to share something, but the systems just not allow it.
-
In AppSheet there is not such restriction. THIS IS THE PROBLEM. We can share any app with any domain outside the organization.
My Questions:
My questions are at a license level, not at individual application in AppSheet.
- Is there a way to apply the same rule that Google Workspace has of not allowing share apps outside of the organization? If so, where Can we find that configuration?
- By default, all people in the organization can go to appsheet, create an app and share it outside of the organization. For us that’s a security breach.
If point 1 cannot be done, Is there a way, at license level, to apply restrictions to AppSheet to have two different profiles: People that can create apps and people who can only use them? I mean, people who can create would have the same profile as they currently have and the other user, after login to appsheet they would only see the apps shared to them but not a way to create a new app.
I hope you could help me with these points because I consider AppSheet as a great solution to the company but for now it’s banned from almost all users until we find a solution to these problems.
