All blended data sources return "System error" (errorStatus code 13) since Oct 14, 2026 - single-source charts work

Since Oct 14, 2026 every chart that uses a blend fails with “Data Studio has encountered a system error”. Charts on single sources (Google Sheets connector) in the same reports work normally.

What we tested:

• 3 independent reports with different owners: all blend charts fail.
• New minimal blend (2 Sheets tabs, left outer join on one text key, no filters, no calculated fields): fails.
• Blend that uses none of the original sources: fails.
• The batchedDataV2 response is {"errorStatus":{"code":13}} with an empty requestId (rejected before job creation).

No incident on the Google Cloud or Workspace status pages. Is anyone else seeing this? Any known issue or workaround?

Environment: Google Sheets connector, Chrome 154 / macOS, Google Workspace account.

Same problem here. All my dashboards are showing a generic “System error”. I’m using Google Sheets as the data source.

same error. but it happens to random group of users which makes me believe its individual system settings that leads to the failed formula on blend?
