Accidentally deleted my Google Developer Profile — need recovery help

Hi everyone,

I urgently need help with a Google Developer Profile recovery issue.

I accidentally clicked “Delete profile” in the new Google Developer Program Builders Hub, believing it would only unlink my account. Instead, my old profile data appears to have been removed, including 5+ years’ worth of badges, saved pages, collections, labs, and recent badges I earned from registering for Google Cloud Next 2026 and Google I/O 2026.

I have screenshots of my old profile showing the earned badges, plus a screenshot taken moments before I clicked the button on mobile, and I also copied the public profile link / old user ID.

If anyone knows the correct recovery route, the right support channel, or has faced the same issue, please point me in the right direction or help route this to the proper team.

Thank you.

@tabassamali - You will need to file a support ticket via the FAQ page. Thank you!

Hi Michelle,

Thank you so much for the guidance! I have just submitted the feedback through the FAQ page as you suggested. I’ve also sent an Email to both qwiklabs and gdp Support emails with real Evidence Screenshots of my old Google Developer Profile.

To help the engineering team, I included both my Old UID (117442628360xxxxxxxxx) and my New UID (103098836283xxxxxxxxx) in the feedback form and email. My skills.google dashboard still shows 384 points, so the record of my 5+ years of work is still there—it just needs to be re-linked.

I really appreciate you taking the time to look into this. It’s a huge professional asset for me, and I’m hopeful the team can restore the connection. Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide!

Hi @Michelle,

Following up on this — I wanted to share what’s happened since your guidance 8 days ago:

:white_check_mark: Submitted feedback via the FAQ page as suggested

:white_check_mark: Emailed both qwiklabs and gdp support with full evidence

:white_check_mark: A support case was opened: Case ID: 6-7018000040559

However, the Skills support team confirmed in writing that they are an AI interface without backend access to perform UID re-linking or profile restoration. They redirected me to Google Cloud Support, which requires a paid plan ($29/month minimum) — not accessible for a Developer Profile issue.

The Google Cloud Console Cases portal shows “No cases to display” and is linked to a GCP project, not my Developer Profile.

My skills.google dashboard still shows 384 points, confirming the data exists and just needs re-linking between my old UID (117442628360884389080) and new UID (103098836283700660027).

Could you please help escalate this to the correct internal team? I have complete timestamped documentation of everything. Thank you.

This kind of experience has become so very typical with Google. If you aren’t a paying customer, they really do not care to talk to you.

@tabassamali - We will see what we can do to escalate this issue internally. Someone will circle back if we are able to escalate the issue on your behalf.

Hi, I am very sorry to hear this, but deleting a Google Developer Profile is not something we can reverse as the data is deleted after requested by the user. I will relay the feedback to improve the messaging going forward but we unfortunately cannot recover your account.

If you do create a new account I can try to award your prior achievements if you have a screenshot you can share with me of the badges you had and dates.
