7.1 Gbs of RAM and web crashes losing all changes

Hello there. I would love to know how on Earth is it possible that within 15 minutes of work I manage to get up to 7.1 GBs of memory on Google Chrome, just to click “Save” and see the web crash.

Hit the like button if this has happened to you at some point, so they see how annoying it is to lose all your work.

Never gotten so high as 7.1, but there definitely seems to be some sort of memory leak happening.
