I think you have to change the user permission in Google sheet. Go to Google sheet → Data → Protect sheet and rang → and then change the permission for edit

If you are on a team, and you use Sharepoint, this is not an issue.

If your Excel is stored in your personal account, you won’t be able to use both the Excel and AppSheet at the same time.

In any case, having your datasource open to edit it manually is not a good idea
