A Persistent Derived Table is a table that is defined in LookML and is by built by Looker on a user’s database.
Looker uses a CREATE TABLE in SQL and persists the tables built on the database scratch schema, maintaining them (dropping and rebuilding) according to the type of persistence that is used.
