Weird "phantom syncs" in log

So, I’ve asked all my users to stay out of an app while I test some stuff. I don’t show any activity in the log from any users except myself and one other person. That particular person shows syncs for their account over and over again continuously. No changes or edits/adds or anything, just syncs. They say they aren’t using the app, and I believe them. Is something happening in the background on their device? Why isn’t it happening with anybody else (I have about 20 users)? Doesn’t matter as syncs have no affect on what I’m doing, but it would be nice to understand what I’m seeing.

Can you see that user’s id and/or email in the audit log? Possibly it’s just a curious user trying to understand what you are testing or what changes you are implementing. Not sure from this one, but provided that specific user have left the app running in the mobile device’s background drawer (just soft closed the app without terminating its running), and if that sync timestamp intervals are around 30mins, then that makes sense as AppSheet makes an auto-update of data every 30mins in the background.

The background syncs on mobile would explain it because there is a regular 30 min interval. Thanks!
