View Map and Actions

Hi,
I wanted to know if it is possible to activate actions in a View Map as primary or Prominent…
Thanks for your attention…

@manueurofax Sadly the only action type you can show on a map view as primary is the add action (and the automatically created “pin” action).

It would be awesome if we could show also Navigation Actions like LinkToView. With that we could use the “Current Location” as I described here.

Hi manueurofax,

Thank you for your question! Currently, it’s not possible to directly activate actions in a Map View as primary or prominent. Map Views are designed to focus on displaying geospatial data, and actions typically work in other views where records are displayed in list or detail formats.

That said, one potential solution is to create a workflow or behavior that triggers the desired action when a user interacts with a record from the map. For example, you could set up a linked action triggered when a map pin is selected, redirecting the user to a detail view where the action can be executed.

If you’re looking for a specific use case, feel free to share more details, and I’d be happy to help brainstorm a solution!

Sadly this is still not possible.

We cannot set an on click event for a map view.

And the on click event in deck view is not working inside a map view.
