I’m working with a Vertex AI Search app where the data store source is a BigQuery table. This means my search engine uses a structured data store with product information. My current problem is getting my app to provide company-specific results. I’ve tried boosting some products, but this isn’t a scalable solution. Because of this, I want to try search tuning. I know the official documentation says that search tuning can “only be applied to unstructured data stores.” However, while doing some experiments with my app, I was able to upload a mini tuning dataset.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Do you have any recommendations for this use case? I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has found a way to apply search tuning to structured data or has an alternative solution.
