Verified OAuth but Looker Studio still shows "Connector not verified"

Hello,

I have a Community Connector that I developed for Looker Studio.

The OAuth consent screen for the connector is fully verified in Google Cloud Console.

All required fields, scopes, and test users have been configured correctly.

The OAuth verification status shows “Verified” in Google Cloud.

However, when I try to add a data source in Looker Studio using my connector via the link:

I see the following warning:

“This connector has not been verified or reviewed. We recommend using only community connectors from trusted sources.”

I have verified everything related to OAuth, but the warning still appears.

It seems that even with verified OAuth, Looker Studio still treats the connector as unverified. I cannot find any option in the new Looker Studio interface to submit or publish the connector to remove this warning.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a current way to fully verify a Community Connector in Looker Studio so that this warning disappears for all users?

Thank you for any guidance!

Hey,

Hope you’re keeping well.

OAuth verification in Google Cloud only confirms that your consent screen and scopes are approved, but it doesn’t change the “unverified” banner in Looker Studio for Community Connectors. That message relates to connector review and publication in the Looker Studio Partner Program, which is separate from OAuth verification. To remove it for all users, the connector must be submitted for review through the Looker Studio Partner Connector submission process, which includes functional testing and security review by the Looker team. Without that review, any connector—even with verified OAuth—will still show as “not verified or reviewed” to end users. If you want it public and trusted, you’ll need to go through that partner submission workflow.

Thanks and regards,
Taz
