Within many of Looker’s pre-defined explores under “System Activity”, there’s a ton of useful dimensions and measures, but the user attributes don’t appear to be exposed anywhere. Is there a way to access those user attributes within an explore?
I know we can see them within User Admin, but we want to be able to display those user attributes in a dashboard.
Thanks for the post. There is an existing request with our product team for this feature: https://portal.feedback.us.pendo.io/app/#/case/49961 Please feel free to add the details of your use-case to the existing thread. This goes directly to our product and supportability teams. There is a workaround listed here:
I have seen a few other customers use in the past. Another potential option would be to create a derived table or column in your database with the values for given user attributes. Then, you could query them like a traditional dimension.
Do you know if this product feature was ever addressed. The feedback link to Pendo requires a user account.
We now have a similar requirement. We use a whitelabeled version of looker embedded in our Saas platform, and we have a requirement to monitor looker usage per saas client (tenant) which is set as a user attribute on the embed SSO looker user.
What we’d like to be able to do is use the existing User and Compliance User/Permission explores but group/pivot the data by the users tenant Attribute.
