I am using the Looker Studio Free version in my organization.
We currently have around 220 data sources created. When I start sharing these data sources with end users or groups, the sharing works fine initially. However, after sharing approximately 10–15 data sources, I begin encountering an error while sharing any additional ones.
The error message shown is:
“An unknown error occurred – please try again later”
Once this error starts occurring, I am unable to share any further data sources for almost 1 hour, after which sharing starts working again.

Sharing is done manually via the UI (Share with people and groups)

The issue consistently repeats after a small number of shares

No clear limit or quota information is shown in the UI

Is there a rate limit or quota on sharing data sources in Looker Studio Free?

Is this a known limitation or bug?

Are there any best practices or workarounds for sharing a large number of data sources (e.g., batching, automation, or admin settings)?
