Unable to delet Google Workspace becaues Google Cloud Folder cannot be deleted

I’m trying to delete Google Workspace which is asking me to loing to “Delete Google Cloud resources”

I’ve gone to the Manage resource section. Select a folder and click delete and get this error message.

Folder service

Folder cannot be deleted as it contains active resources. Only empty folders can be deleted.

Request ID: 8037130472072997894

I’ve gone to the IAM and added roles - Folder Admin

The recommendation form another post was, going to this folder and deleting items.

IAM → Asset Inventory → Resource → Filter : Folder → pick folderID

However this is no information about how to do this.

Hello @Joel_Pollock,

Would Delete Apps Script Cloud projects be considered first?

If so, that may be straightforward.

Otherwise, you indeed may have to go through the Cloud Asset Inventory to find the resources that block you from deleting the project.

I also see a StackOverflow post about GCP Folder cannot be deleted as it contains active resources which discusses a firewall issue. Comments also mention hidden scripts.

As a little hack/workaround, you could create a temp folder and use gcloud asset analyze-move (doc) to see which resources are blocking. I’m not entirely certain about that, though.
